Single Adult Ministries

Philosophy

The philosophy of the Singles Ministries is that the church is a developmental center for the total person. Thus, a broad spectrum of worship, learning and ministry opportunities must be provided for the spiritual growing needs of both college and career persons and single adults.

Goals

The goals are to meet the diversified needs of our single adults and college and career persons and to provide enlistment and training in various Christian ministries.

These goals are achieved through the following objectives:

  • To offer a variety of counseling and ministry approaches to deal with the complexities of singles.
  • To develop a vibrant adult singles ministry to reach the growing number of singles in our society.
  • To develop an aggressive program to reach both University of Georgia students and career-oriented persons.
  • To insure the highest level of adult education and ministry training for the development of discipleship.
  • To assist singles in the process of assimilation into the mobilized laity.
  • To provide pastoral oversight to Prison Outreach Ministries in Clark and Oconee countries.
