Music Ministries

Philosophy, Goals and Objectives

Philosophy

The ministry of music is far more than just singing "psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs." It is a process by which believers are drawn into the Holy of Holies resulting in a deeper awareness of God's presence, a clearer understanding of our spiritual position in Christ and a greater commitment to His lordship in our lives. Music is fundamental to both private and public worship.

Goals

The music ministry of NDCC seeks to evangelize those without Christ, enrich the worship experience of the church and educate the saints as basic biblical truth is proclaimed through song.

Objectives

Our objectives are as follows:

  1. To fully develop the graded choir and instrumental program of the church.
  2. To locate and train those individuals and groups within the church possessing musical gifts.
  3. To provide meaningful musical presentations for all regular worship services.
  4. To preserve the historical hymns of the church and utilize contemporary songs of praise.
